i am ana westhoff and this is my blog! currently i am 17 years old and graduating from hampton-dumont high school in iowa, this spring!
mission work has been on my heart since i was 11 years old and read the book “take your best shot” for the first time. the book talked all about God’s purpose and i just knew from that young age God had a special unique purpose for my life. in that book the author visited africa through his church, and little ana knew that she wanted to go for herself one day (there is definitely NO coincidence that ethiopia is on my route.) in these past few months God has started to reveal his BIG plan for my life…
i stumbled upon the world race from a girl i follow on instagram that is currently on the race. after following her journey, i truly just felt the Lord speaking to me saying it was my turn. it was totally new to me hearing His voice, and i had doubts to say the least, but in the midst of these he kept on saying go.
since being baptized this fall, my heart is on fire for God’s people. i want to live my life with this newly found purpose! with this being said… i am going on the race to spread His love to the ends of the earth. i am ready to see the ways that God will use me these 9 months in guatemala, ethiopia, and thailand.
i can’t wait for you guys to follow along and live this through me. God is so so good.
