Well, I typed out a super lengthy blog post to fill you in on my current situation and tell you more about my time here in South Africa and guess what? IT DELETED! SHAME! I can’t lie, I’m definitely super salty about it. It’s half past 1AM here and it was one of those heartfelt blog posts because our time here has been emotional, challenging, rewarding and delightful…
Just like that.
So I’m going to save what I had originally written about for another post because I’m just in a mood. Instead I’ll just share the fun part of my day – which is that I went surfing today in Jeffreys Bay! Supposedly one of the best surf locations in the world, they say! Now, I’m from Texas y’all! This girl ain’t ever surfed a day in her life. However, it was a great time and although the waves most definitely took me down and the ocean had it’s way with me, I had a great time with some of my squad.
Surfing is hard. I didn’t quite make it all the way onto my feet but it was still fun trying. Would most definitely try it again in the future. Mostly, I just wanted to do it to say I did it. When else will I be in South Africa in a surf village? Now, I can officially put this down on my backwards bucket list! Hehe
& then I had ICE CREAM! It was a fun time! Well, that’s gonna be it for now but I’ll blog again tmw or sometime very soon.
