Dear Family and Friends,
I wanted to write to tell you a little bit more about a project that has been on my heart the last couple of years. Some time ago I came upon Adventures in Missions and their World Race Program. The World Race is an 11-month missionary trip to 11 different countries around the world, designed to give young adults the opportunity for hands-on ministry, community and spiritual growth. The more I learned about the program the more I envisioned myself going, as this was exactly the opportunity I had been searching for, a chance not only for personal growth but for stepping out of my comfort zone and entering full-time ministry. I’ve always had the desire to serve in a greater capacity and now I have this open door of opportunity in front of me, which I know is a launching path for many exciting things to come.

“For the Vision is Yet for an Appointed Time… “ Habakkuk 2:3
Although the fulfillment of this trip for me has taken more time than I initially expected I’m extremely grateful because the fruit of patience has paid off in abundance. During this waiting period I have grown in many aspects, I have met amazing friends, have been blessed professionally and grown closer to my family, I’ve met challenges head on which have taught me to stand firm in my faith, and through it all every step has been a confirmation that God is and will always be faithful to the desires of our hearts when we give him a place in our lives. Now I understand that His timing is perfect and as I get ready to open my life to new experiences I go with anticipation and not with fear, because the same God who has walked with me through all past challenges is the One who also guides my present and future.

So what does a World Racer look like?
We look like many different faces, different backgrounds, but every single one of us has the desire to
do all we can to make a difference in someone else’s life. World Racers receive the best training and
guidance from the Adventures in Missions staff who themselves are experienced in the field of missions. As we go abroad we serve in partnership with local churches and ministries within each of the countries we visit. We share the Gospel, work in orphanages, work to reduce the plight of human trafficking, pray for the sick and needy, feed the hungry and most importantly present the hope that turned our own lives around, Jesus Christ, to all in need.

Which Brings Me to Share a Piece of My Heart With You
I write this letter to share my heart with you but also to invite you to follow me as I now go. I want you to experience alongside me what the daily news doesn’t really report. There are many young people whose focus is to do everything possible to be a helping hand for someone else. For some it could means sacrificing time, careers, health or even relationships. But the ultimate drive is in the example of Jesus. This is where we gain strength and selfless passion that is sticky and keeps drawing other people to join The World Race program year after year. And so I personally invite you to learn more and if you so desire come alongside my ministry this year as a prayer partner, financial backer, or follower on one of my blogs or social sites. I guarantee that you will not be the same, in fact I know the seed you sow in whatever capacity will make your biggest dreams possible in the future. I can say this confidently because by the grace of God I have myself sown and reaped a great harvest.

So Here’s the Skinny On How You Can Come Along As My Supporter This Year
In order to go on The World Race I must raise $15,500 by March 2013, (broken up into different
fundraising milestones along the way) this will cover all of my expenses on the field for 11 months. If
you want to help financially you can choose to give a one-time gift or sign up to give a monthly donation where you can choose the amount, beginning and end-date of your pledge.

You can also help in the following ways, would you consider some of these:
  • Coming alongside me and my team as a prayer-partner for 1 year. We need this more than finances!
  • You can even officially adopt A World Race Team through theworldrace.org
  • Coming alongside me by giving your best one time donation now to get me closer to my raising goal
  • Being one of the 25 who would make a monthly pledge of $51.66 for 1 year. This adds up to the full
  • cost through 25 people
  • Being one of 11 who would sponsor one month on the field for $1,291.66

Friends, more than anything else I’ve written here I pray my testimony and those of the rest of the
Racers this coming year brings you hope! Stirs up your heart again if you feel caught in a routine, serves to remind you that God knows you and is listening and that he wants to make all YOUR dreams come true, if only you will place them in His Hands.

I pray God blesses you and supplies all your needs as you prayerfully consider standing with me during this time.

Sincerely,
Anabell Cardona
