Body and Soul Connection
Running…
Burns like the Holy Spirit,
churning up my insides,
starts confusing all the bad things in me,
wants them out of my system,
they don’t belong.
It hurts like hell when you’re trying to grow,
when you’re trying to run faster,
trying to reach longer distances,
you get to the point when you feel like you’re going to die,
but will you keep going to the finish line?
And when you get there, is it finished?
It’s never finished until you reach TRUE home base.
When I bend over and my body gets rid of all the bad things that are hurting my
insides, it’s like when I purify my soul before God in prayer, all of a sudden there's a fight deep inside
but in the end the impurities are gone and only peace and ultimate satisfaction live on.
When I abandon my body to follow its own unhealthy ways,
At the end of the week it’s unwilling to go the mile.
Just like when I don’t feed daily with the word of God,
welcoming unhealthy doubts and lack of faith to creep in on my everyday.
Thank you for being so good to me, i love you lord.

Daniel ch 1 nd 2
In Daniel chapter 1 and 2 you find four characters, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abdenego. Four young boys whom God gave wisdom above everyone else. It's interesting to note, they devoted not only their soul to God but were also aware they had to honor him with their body. Note in chapter 1 how they choose even the things that they eat in order to bring honor to God.
It's funny as I run there's this fight that happens between me and my body, like theyre two separate beings. I realize it must be beat in order to see the big picture at the end of the road. It's very much the same way we must make our soul beat our body and overcome when we're trying to see more of God. He gives me wisdom to see these connections, I pray he gives you wisdom in everyday life too.
