Hello Everyone!

This month we have been living at a YWAM base in Chiriqui Panama. The staff has a lot of involvement in the community and has a passion to reach out to the Ngabe tribe. One of the things we get to participate in during our time here is leading a Bible study for some of the students who live at the base. They are about 12 to 18 years-old and are staying at the base, so they can go to school in the community and be discipled. It has been so cool to see their hunger for God and see their relationship with Him. I think one of my favorite things about traveling to different countries is seeing that Jesus completely transcends culture. I love seeing how people from completely different cultures interact with Jesus and glorify Him. It is just so beautiful and powerful to see the body of Christ around the world and know that we are united by the same Spirit.

One of the things God has been teaching me this month is having faith to seek and ask. Something I have been asking for this month is that my identity would be rooted completely in Him. There are also things I am praying over for people in my life. There may be something you are praying for or desiring right now, such as healing, a change of heart, knowing truth, restoration in family or friendships, financial provision, direction about a decision, etc. We can bring all of these things to God. Sometimes He answers right away and other times it may seem like “forever”.  In those moments when it seems like we are not getting an answer, it is an opportunity to seek Jesus and grow in deeper relationship with Him. I have learned that getting to seek His face and know Him is truly the greatest treasure. If we know His character, then we know that He is faithful, He is good, He is righteous, and He will give us what we need. As we seek Him I believe our faith is strengthened. So, I guess I just want to encourage you to not lose heart. Keep going to the Father. He knows what you need before you ask and He also knows what you do not need. He is working in ways we may not see with our physical eyes.

“18 He then told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not become discouraged: “There was a judge in a certain town who didn’t fear God or respect man. And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’

“For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect man, yet because this widow keeps pestering me,[a] I will give her justice, so she doesn’t wear me out[b] by her persistent coming.’”

Then the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?[c] I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith[d] on earth?” Luke 18:1-8

Thank you for all of the support and prayers!!!
