Just a little update on how things have been going and where my funds are at… and a ministry story!

Guatemala has been awesome. We've been able to minister to the tourists here (see my previous blog), and also to the local street kids and nearby villages.

Yesterday we went to a neighbouring village San Marcos. Out of 10,000 people, only 33 are Christian! Almost everyone else is traditional Mayan, and practice witchraft and black magic. Here is a little story from yesterday:

As we were walking past a house, some of us felt like there was someone sick inside and we needed to go in. So we walked into this house (aka, cinderblock and metal shack) and inside was a 15 day old baby, his mother, and her parents. It turns out the baby had major issues. He would sleep like a log, not waking up at all during the day, and wake up at night fall and scream the entire night. It truly seemed like the baby was cursed, or possibly the mother during her pregnancy. The mother admitted that it was very possible. So we just prayed for the baby and the mother. It turned out the baby had no name yet, and our team felt his name should be Elijah (fought against false Gods, and brought people to the one true God), which is Elias in Spanish. The mother agreed that would be his name, and all of a sudden at that moment, in the middle of the day, he opened his eyes and woke up! It was an intense and amazing moment. He stayed awake until we left, his mother asked to become a Christian, and she dedicated baby Elijah.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of our ministry so far. There have been physical healings, people being brought to Christ, and intense growth in me and my team.

On that note, I am short of my next deadline. I currently have $9850 raised, and need $11,000 before September 15. That's $1150 left to go! Almost there… then only one more deadline left.

If you want to be a financial partner in this ministry, you can donate online through this blog (link on the left side), send in a cheque to AIM, or send a cheque to my home address (email me for the information).

Thanks for reading…. more personal revelation and ministry stories to come!
