I woke up this morning and the first words out of my mouth were, “Wow… I’m going to miss hotel beds this year!”
We’re all officially here- in ATL -and we’ve taken over the hotel! We’ve laughed and cried, unpacked and packed again, shared incredible testimonies of Jesus’ power in our lives and listened to incredible men and women of God pour wisdom and training into our hearts. This is incredible.
In Louisville I held it together as I said my goodbyes to friends and family. God gave me this incredible peace about leaving, but as soon as the plane started cruising down the runway I lost it and bawled the whole way to ATL! This peace is still alive and well in my soul, but I miss you all so dearly and I am so thankful for the roles each of you have played in my life and ministry. I am surrounded by such an amazing community (both at home and in the World Race), and it’s all because the overwhelming love of Jesus holds us together!
Speaking of love: God’s blowing my mind about it. He’s rewriting definitions and expectations and there’s a blog coming about that relatively soon 🙂
Anyway… From now on, I’ll be keeping up with my blog, email, Skype, and Facebook in that order. I love each of you so much, but I need to keep my heart where my feet are, and the best way for me to do that is to DO THAT. You’ll be in my heart and prayers, but, sadly, not in my day-to-day conversations.
