My sweet Mamtjube,
I am thinking of you a lot today- remembering the times we spent laughing in the play house, painting in the kitchen, and singing in the hammock. I miss you!
I’ve prayed for you faithfully, because I know that our Daddy in heaven is keeping an eye on you as you grow into the beautiful woman he has made you to be. He has given you the most genuine smile I have ever seen! I hope Jesus sends you many reasons to smile. I smile when I think of you!
Remember the time we put in our headphones and listened to the song “Alive”? We didn’t care that the others were listening, we sang at the top of our lungs and laughed so hard! I hope you always remember the words to that song: “You are, you are, you are my freedom.” Mamtjube– Jesus is your freedom. He was and is and always will be your true freedom. As you grow up, he will show you over and over just how true that is.
Don’t ever let your heart feel hopeless. Your freedom is coming.
I want you to know that you have encouraged me each day through the passage you wrote in my journal. Psalm 27 means so much to me, because you gave me those verses when I needed them the most! Psalm 27:4 and 13 says,
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in his temple… I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!”
When you wrote this passage in my journal, I was feeling very lonely. You reminded me through this passage that I am not alone- my Savior is with me. I am invited to sit in his presence, look at his beautiful face, and truly know him. He is also with you, sweetheart, and he wants you to know his as well! Never forget that! When you are sad and feel alone, remember that YOU are his temple, and he lives in you. You are never alone, my dear!
In life we have hope and faith– hope is for the future, and faith is for the present. I both hope and faithfully pray Psalm 27 over your life. I hope that you will dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of your life, and I have faith that you will look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!
Mamtjube, I love you. I love you more than the trees, more than the mountains, and more than the sky! And Jesus loves you more than I ever could. He lived his entire life with you on his mind, and he is waiting for you even now.
When your new buddy comes, hug them tightly! They will love you with the same love that I have for you– the love of Jesus.
Keep your chin up, pretty girl. Keep smiling.
With all my love,
Amy
