Words can not capture the last three months of my life accurately so here’s Guatemala through my eyes:

This was the view that took my breath away everyday from our roof. That’s Volcano Agua.

We were blessed to live in the most beautiful gated community.

3 months gave us plenty of time to explore Antigua. I now know every street and store like the back of my hand.

For the first 2 months, i taught value classes with Julie, Alex, and Aaron. I got to spend everyday with these cuties.

I got the opportunity to ride a horse to the top of Pacaya Volcano. We roasted marshmallows in the lava at the top. The view was foggy and steamy, but so magical.

For about a week, my ministry was loving on the kiddos at a daycare. They were wild, crazy, and full of joy.

I got to take a 10 hour bus ride across Guatemala to visit the Ancient Mayan Ruins at Tikal. It was so surreal and amazing.

One weekend, we visited a black sand beach Monterrico. God paints some beautiful pictures.

They celebrate Dia de los muertes (The Day of the Dead) with a kite festival. Yes, that’s a giant kite behind Shelby and I. They sold 1 Q lollipops which Shelby and I liked 🙂

The last month i was there, school had let out for summer so my ministry changed to a Cerebral Palsy hospital. This little girl’s name is Ariana. When she was born, her mother threw her in the garbage, and she was found with rats eating her face.

Danna is one of the only children at the hospital who can walk with assistance. She has a very special place in my heart.

A couple weeks ago, we spent the weekend fundraising with a carwash to raise money for Guatemalan missionaries raising money for a mission trip to Honduras.

During this time, I made so many new friends like Pamela and Arnold. I am so thankful to develop friendships all over the world.

We finished our time in Guatemala at the most beautiful lake in the World, Lake Atitlan. My squad cliffdived, kayaked, boated, and I visited hotsprings. It was a perfect ending to an amazing three months.

As reluctant I am to leave my favorite country, I am so excited to see how God will use my team and I in Thailand. So here I am Lord, send me to Thailand.
