We Won’t Be Shaken

I don’t really know where to begin this blog outside of God is undeniably awesome! He’s been moving in my life in so many different things I can’t even contain my excitement. I haven’t felt this way in awhile and I know its His grace w

                                        over me. He has placed people, situations, events in my life that have continued to build up my excitement and encouragement about the Race. The strength of His works will not allow me to be shaken… I cannot be moved, my trust is FULLY in Him!! The devil can go ahead and back down, he ain’t got NOTHING on my God!!! I am HIS!! And I shall fear nothing!!! Let me show you just what my God has been doing:

• I was in a bible study that met on Tuesday nights. We had a break for summer and didn’t end up getting back together. At first I was a bit discouraged, I love time plugging in with Christian friends. ALAS, God used this to bring about my new Bible Study, Kairos, a study of the Great Commission, a ridiculously awesome study!!

• With the race, I felt that God was calling me to let go of material things… to sell stuff, donate stuff, and biggest of all, sell my place! This was a weird thing to grasp. I love my home, its my first home, its “homey”, its very “me”… but He has told me to let it go, that he has bigger things in store for me. So after weeks (probably more like months) of procrastination, I let go. I called a realtor and had it placed on the market. 10 days after that sign went up I had an offer, I close in less than a month! He has truly provided.

• NEW ROUTE (B-squad) and NEW SQUAD MATES
  • WOAH! God is already making moves on our January 2014 World Race. There has been an ABUNDANCE of racers and AIM had to make a new Route!! WOAH! God is good!
  • We have gained several new squad mates from previous routes, and they are amazing gifts from God! I can’t wait to meet each and everyone of these Christ seekers! They follow where God has called them and have been inspirational to me 🙂 Jeremy, one of the new squad mates, has been insanely inspirational. His daily encouragement and his heart on fire for Jesus has put me in my place day in and day out. A reminder to die daily 🙂

• Over the last weekend, I got to talk with a little brother of one of my dear friends, a kid (well, he isn’t a kid anymore, he just turned 27!) I’ve know since I was 10. He had been in a bad place but now he has been blessed with a new life through God. He is living at the Dream Center in LA and through this program He has seen how God is the true living water and the only thing that can quench your thirst. Mike has turned from drugs, from dealing, and from running – a constant running, from the law AND from the Lord. He is a changed man, a better man, a man who loves and fears a great God! PRAISE THE LORD! I love you Mikey and I am SOOOO proud of you!!!

• Last, but DEFINITELY not least, I am so excited to announce that I have raised half of the money needed for the RACE!!! You are all so absolutely amazing  And to top it all off, because I’ve hit my fundraising targets, I’m heading to training camp tomorrow!!!! I can’t believe its here. God has done crazy awesome things in the last few months, and I know he will continue to wreck us everyday!
