Hello y'all πŸ™‚

Fundraising is scary, but I am praying that God will show me the people to reach out to and the things to do in order to help fund my trip. We have deadlines that we must hit between now and our final payment next June and the first one is quickly approaching; by September 28th, I will need to have raised $3,500. I know that's a lot, but I also know all things are possible through Him. If you are considering donating, I want to thank you in advance, it truly means a lot to me!

"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

So today 60 letters will go out to family and friends across the country. In those envelopes you will find a picture that you can place on your fridge or on your desk that you can display to remind you and your families to PRAY! I have also included a pre-addressed envelope and donation in card in case you care to GIVE!  The final thing found in the envelop is my support letter. Please feel free to SHARE! the letter and my blog with others πŸ™‚

If you don't receive a letter and would like one, please send me an address and I will be happy to send one to you or someone else! You can also donate by clicking this link, Support Me! Please note that checks take about 7-10 days to process and the credit/debit online donations take 3-4 days.

REMINDER: Adventures in Missions (AIM) is a 501 (c)(3) therefore donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE (AIM's Tax Identification Number: 65-0133113). Also, check to see if your company has a MATCHING PROGRAM!!!

Update on Last Weekend:

With gear for this trip I am starting at ZERO, I knew I had to do something; so why not meet up with other Racers and get gear at the same time! The closest REI to Louisville is up in Ohio and so are two other racers, I figured this would be a great place to start. On Saturday I went up to Cincinnati and got to meet David (planned) and Jackie (unplanned)! It is so exciting being able to get to meet other racers! David provided a great deal of help as I really had NO experience when it came to tents, sleeping bags, packs, liners, sleeping pads, mess kits, water filtration…. and on and on…. πŸ™‚ Thank you David!!! First thing I did when I got home was to put up my tent, blow up my pad, and lay on my future bed! Did it in a matter of minutes, just like an old pro!

Every day I am more and more excited about this opportunity to serve God in a way I have never been able to before. For 11 months my only focus will be on serving the Lord, loving people, and sharing the Word. I continually am blown away by the support and encouragement I've been given so far and I can't wait to continue sharing this journey with others πŸ™‚

In Him,

Amy
