Blessing our food has taken on a whole new meaning…asking God to bless our meals, use them to nourish our bodies and to keep us in good health means so much more to me now. I will eat what is set before me, and my team has made a pact to try the craziest things in each country. We had a good starter for lunch recently when whole fish were brought out to us! My first thought was “No way! I don’t even like the taste of fish!” It was quickly turned in to a fun challenge at my table to see who could clean the fish all the way to the bone. Lynette is a pro (she is Asian), and said this meal was the closest to home cooking that she’d had so far; it was the farthest from home for me!

Chad threw out the challenge to suck the eyeballs out of the fish…4 of us rose to the challenge! Sick! It was hilarious seeing the reactions as we each took our turns and sucked in the gelaneous fluid that came out with the eyes! Eyeballs have always ranked high on my list of the most disgusting things to eat, but it wasn’t too bad. Definitely not something I’ll regularly partake of, but I enjoy taking in all of the culture that I can.
