Today our team went to a halfway house not far from where we are living this month. When we arrived about 30 teenage boys were sitting cross legged on the ground perfectly lined in rows all facing the same direction, as we walked in they placed their hands together, bowed and greeted us in such unison that it sounded like one voice. We performed a funny skit for them and played some games but the best part about the visit was the fact that we were sharing the Gospel of Christ standing next to a giant statue of Buddha. (If that isn’t God showing His power, then I don’t know what is). We were able to share our testimonies of how we came to know Christ and how they can know Him too if they’d like. I will never forget they feeling I had there of such sadness for those boys and for the people working there but at the same time such power because I knew The Holy Spirit was speaking through me.
Never in my entire life would I have thought I would have an opportunity like this and here, God placed it right in my lap, an opportunity to share the gospel in the most unlikely place. I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous at first, but when you have the power of Christ behind you it means you have nothing to fear. So please know that anything you may be nervous, anxious or fearful about in your life, if you have God on your side you have nothing to worry about, He’s got everything under control.
I’m so excited to be in Thailand this month, God is doing amazing things in this place and I feel so privileged to be a part of it even if it is just for a short while. We are able to freely share the love of Christ to the people here and they want to listen. He is going to open some amazing doors for us this month and I can’t wait to see what He has in store!
Please be praying for our team here in Chanthaburi, Thailand this month, that we will not be timid about sharing the gospel, to step out in boldness and to seize every opportunity God places in front of us to do so.
