I am beyond excited and can’t wait any more to share the news: I AM FULLY FUNDED!!! Yes, you read that right. I am fully funded. God is so good!!!!
As those of you who have been reading my blogs know money has been such a worry spot for me. How in the world was I supposed to raise $17,561? I had so little time and that number was so big.
On January 4th I had a revelation of sorts. I realized that it’s not about what I can do, but it’s about what God can do. I needed to stop depending on myself and my own ability and start depending on God.
I also felt like God was calling me to radically depend on Him. It wasn’t going to be enough to just believe that He would fund me, but that He would do something so impossible with my funding I couldn’t even imagine. So that was the day I started praying that God would fully fund me by March 1.
March 1st gave God 56 day to get me to $17,561. On January 4th, when I started this prayer, I had $4,750 so that really equals out to $12,811 needed in 56 days. That means I needed to raise an average of $229 per day. Talk about overwhelming. I was praying for the impossible.
I had to choose to believe that God could do this. So many days I would pray and thank God in advance for answering this prayer and as soon as I was done I would think to myself, “Will God really do this”? I would have to stop myself and recognize that Satan was trying to creep in and I would immediately have to thank God again for providing when I did not see a way.
He came through in ways I could have never imagined. He sent me the sweetest friend ever, Jennifer Reams. When I couldn’t figure out where to start with fundraisers she showed up and had this amazing plan for an art auction. This auction would not only support my trip but it would also encourage young artists to paint, sculpt, and draw for Jesus.
She didn’t just come up with the art auction; she also sold these beautiful canvases and stickers with my logos on them. She found a jewelry designer that would help me and I was able to sell beautiful necklaces. She talked to everyone about me and was able to help me speak to a class at my church that I may not have gotten the opportunity to speak with otherwise.
Money was coming in from everywhere. People I didn’t know began to pour into me with their finances. There is no other way that this could have happened than by God’s hand.
And while I prayed every day for March 1st God decided He would like to blow me out of the water. God provided $18,088 by February 28, 2016. That is $527 more than I need. And money is still coming in! He didn’t even need the extra day in February. 🙂
Now not only do I have all the funds I need, I get to bless my teammates with every extra dollar I make! I am still selling my necklaces hoping I can make a difference for them.
