Welcome to my World Race blog.
My name is Amy. And I am about to start the craziest journey of my life and this is where you will get to follow me through it. But first a little background…
I come from an amazing family. My mom and dad are super supportive. I have an older brother and twin sister. My sister is married with 3 of the coolest kids around, whom I love to death.
I was raised in the beautiful state of Virginia where I went to school at Virginia Commonwealth University, and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.
I love to travel. I love missions work. Traveling and doing missions makes me so happy. My first trip overseas was to Ukraine in 2010. While there I helped run a vacation Bible school. And it got me hooked. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to travel to 6 more countries doing whatever work is needed.
I currently work for a fortune 500 company that announced that they would be moving my office to Arizona. I knew Arizona wasn’t the right path for me so I started praying. Prayer is my go to. And God is good and sent me the answer I needed. He sent me the World Race.
So here I am 5 month away from what is no doubt going to be a life changing trip. I can’t wait to help the refugees in Greece or teach English in Indonesia or build schools in Nepal. Whatever plans God has for me, I know they will be amazing and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
