Today has been a day of relaxation, culture, and bonding. We declared today team day. We went out to a local restaurant, which was delicious. Next on to a cafe for a frapuchinno and journaling. Later today we are going to share our testimony´s with all us 5 Alive girls and continue bonding. I feel like I still haven´t let all my walls down with my teammates. I am not sure why. Because I am usually all out from the beginning…but but it has been different here. I know I will open up to be the goofy and teary eyed Amy all you friends and family know. But I have not completely shared that side yet. Please pray that tonight´s sharing will bond 5 Alive together. I desire for these women to be more than just friends, to become my family. Somehow community is going to happen this year. One day I will wake up and be living it.

This week and next week we are working at Salim chuch here in Palenque. Pastor Noe is our contact. This church is sucha  beautiful example of Christ´s church. They have showered love and hospitatlity over us. We went to a church service Sunday night and last night. Monday was a night of prayer with Pastor Noe and his family. The service last night was beautiful. Worship lasted almost 2 hours…talk about praising God. I really have no idea what the songs said, but the love of God always translates. (Ali (teammate) said we could be singing about a hotdog for all she knows, teehee) The true praises that are lifted up are ¡Allelujah! and Glory A Dios. At 1st glance you see a tin make shift shelter, but the church walls are host to more of God´s true love than I have experienced before. The children wait out front to see us turn the corner on the street to announce the gringo´s are coming. With handshakes and hugs from everyone…I feel God´s love. We go to encourage and share God´s love but in reality I am overwhelmed by the presence of Christ taht has fallen on us. God is alive in Palenque. I pray he brings a revival and brings the people in the community to their knees.

Thank you Father God
