Our purpose in the village was to share the gospel, build relationships, and build a church. After two weeks we found out that supplies were on the way. We were not expecting to build a church while we were there, but we had land and some supplies.

Working in the India heat (100-110 degrees each day)was a challenge as were the men laughing at while we were working. They gave us iron rods with an edge on them to dig two feet deep holes where the columns were put. Nine holes. Eight blisters.

Then we hired some laborers from the village to help. It was awesome because the woman, who was a closet Christian for three years in this village was helping to build the very church she had been praying for. It was amazing to look at her face and see the joy. We helped them carry cement and bricks that started the walls of the church. However, there wasn’t enough money to finish. We left the church half built.

God will build His church.
