A.T.L-Ask the Lord.

Some mornings, or days really, ministry was slow. Our leaders decided we should do an ATL morning. They made slips of paper for us to put in our pockets, and we could pull one out when we didn’t hear anything from God and needed direction. Bethany and I were paired together. After getting some snacks and singing to Ryan(one of our papers), we headed out.

We walked left(one of our papers) and followed a road down into the valley. We had spotted some white people and decided to follow(stalk) them. We caught up and passed them as they were not super friendly. We sat and prayed for direction and felt we should head back to the main road.

We pulled out a paper, and it said, “talk to a woman with a blue shirt.” Two women were near us. We greeted the first woman but went over to the other one. She spoke English and was also a Christian. She invited us into her shop and made us milk tea and momos(a dumpling with buffalo meat, onions, and veggies inside). Amazing! She told us about her life and that her business wasn’t doing as well because of the new location. We brought her business. Our teams went frequently.

On our final night, we went to say goodbye to our friend, and she invited us in and made us tea one last time. It was her gift to us. We hugged her and said our goodbyes. It was such a special relationship that came from going out and asking the Lord what to do. There is always an opportunity for ministry and it’s worth it.
