Currently I live in Washington, DC, but I grew up on a farm in Iowa with my parents and twosisters, Sarah and Andrea. Andrea is my twin. After graduating high
school, Andrea and I went to Minneapolis for college. We both
graduated with a BFA in Illustration and Animation. After college, she felt led to Oregon, and I felt led to Boston, MA. I
worked as an animator for four years on multiple projects. After becoming unemployed, God provided three jobs in one day.
I never applied to any of them! God is so GOOD! The last opportunity
was teaching high school animation in Washington DC. For some reason, I couldn’t say no. I had dreams about the job. At the interview, I felt comfortable and there was art
everywhere. If I had to teach anywhere, this was the place! I have
been teaching for four years; it has been challenging yet rewarding. I
am sad to leave but feel called to go. I am so excited to see what God
has in store!
