Over the past year or so, my interest in missions has grown immensely. Whenever I would hear about overseas mission work, the speaker would have my full attention. Whenever I would hear about women and children forced into sex slavery, my heart broke for these individuals. For a long time I struggled with the fact that human trafficking even existed. I could not understand why I was so blessed yet undeserving of everything the Lord has given me and these poor women and children were living under such horrible conditions.

As I began studying the Gospels, particular verses jumped out at me. . .
Jesus says in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
When the Pharisees complained about Jesus’ actions, Jesus responded, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor–sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent” (Luke 5:31-32).

Jesus was constantly associating with tax collectors, sinners, Gentiles, and “unclean” individuals because He came to bring salvation to all. I have heard the Lord tell me to go and bring His message of salvation to His lost sons and daughters. God has given me a heart for those who do not know Him. I want to share my faith with those who are hopeless. I want to bring the love and joy of Christ to those who find no purpose for living! My heart aches for the world and I believe this ache has been placed in me by the Lord so that I will go and be His servant, be His hands and feet, and be His vessel of love and hope for those who are lost and broken. God has placed such a strong desire in me to help those who are broken-hearted overseas, and now I am joyfully responding in obedience by joining Adventures In Missions.
