Here is a little bit of info about me and how I came to be
part of the World Race September 2007 team.

I was born in
Champaign,
IL and my family has lived all around central

Illinois during my life.
My dad is a school superintendent and his job
is the reason we moved around so much.
I
am the oldest of five children and I have been blessed to have a very loving
and supportive family.
We are very close
and spend lots of time together having fun.

We love the Saint Louis Cardinals and go to lots of games during the
summer.
Woo Hoo World Series
Champions!!!
GO CARDS!!!! We have lots
of laughs and there is always something going on.
You’ll have that with a family of seven

J

I also have many wonderful friends who I love deeply and could not have come
this far in life without.
They support
me fully with everything I do, including the World Race .
I am SO blessed!!!

I did not come to know Christ until about six years ago. My
mom was raised Catholic and my dad was raised Methodist.

So for many years we went to both
churches.

It was kind of confusing
growing up with different people telling you different things.

My dad has always been very strong in his
faith and finally in the summer of 2000 my mom became saved.

Through the process of her being saved I was
also blessed enough to come to know Jesus in the right way.

I became very involved in the Methodist
church at my university.

I was happy but
still felt like something was missing.

I
wanted to somehow be able to share all the gifts God had given me with others
who did not know Him.

I was finally given
this opportunity last semester.

I have always loved to travel.
So during high school I went to
Spain and I went to
Europe
during my undergrad degree.

I have also
been to
Mexico and the

Dominican Republic.

My most exciting and meaningful trip happened
last semester when I was able to spend it studying in

South Africa.

I absolutely loved it there!!!!!

I did a lot of growing spiritually through
fasting and just spending more alone time with God.

God spoke to me while I was there about doing
a missions trip that was about a year long and involved some different
countries.

Well that was great but I had
no idea where to start looking for something like that.

When I came back to campus in the spring I got very involved
in the Christian Campus House.

I got the
website about the World Race from a friend who also attends there.

I found the World Race, applied for it and
here I am.

This is definitely the
longest and most intense missions trip I have gone on.

My other missionary work includes some in

Alabama and
Robinson.

I will also be going to
Arizona in May and to

Kentucky in July.

I am so excited to be part of this mission
and can not wait for the opportunities it has in store for me.

I am finally going to be able to give back to
others what God has given to me.

Now I
also know what God would like me to do after I get my Masters degree in
May.

Look out world here we come!!!!!!!
