Georgia, I really like it! I mean 50 to 60 degree winters and not to mention the sun rays that pierce my skin daily! Oh so good!

Team bonding on the lake
Since being down here, I have not wasted any time. My first Sunday a few of us headed to a town right outside of Atlanta called Clarkston to attend a Burmese Church. Not fully realizing this until later, but this place has become a melting pot for Refugees from all nations. The International Bible Church where the Karen Burmese Service is held has more than 5 other international services ranging from African to Eastern Asian. Whenever I step into the church, it is like I have entered another continent. My heart becomes over joyous.

Our first Sunday we arrived right on time to church…or so we thought. As we began to walk in, we noticed people exiting the doors. Maybe we had the wrong place, but then again these people sure looked like Burmese to us. Knowing that we did not speak the language, we kept walking straight through the doors in spite of the mass quantities that were leaving. Not knowing where to go from there, God highlighted a Caucasian man to us.
This man, Lee, was more than willing to help us out and point us in the right direction. He informed us that the service actually started an hour earlier than what we were originally told. Oops! On top of that he introduced us to the pastor, youth leader, etc. Because we live an hour away from there, the pastor even opened up his basement for us to stay at if we ever needed. Talk about hospitality from the get go!

The entire day was such a blessing and I know without a doubt God ordained it all from showing us Lee to having a Burmese pastor open his home up to complete strangers. This Sunday will be our fourth time going. It is incredible to see how the Lord is moving and the people from Adventures In Missions that He is drawing to this Refugee community. It is not just those I am going to Thailand with anymore that join us. Praise Jesus!
Because of this community, I got to spend part of Super Bowl Sunday at a home filled with people from the Nations (Eastern Europe, Middle East, Northern Africa, East Africa, Asia, America). Phenomenal!
On Sunday, I have the opportunity to preach while the others start up a children’s ministry at church. Then on Wednesday, some of us will go to the airport to welcome a Burmese family who are coming straight out of a Refugee Camp in Thailand. For the next three months, we get to pour into them and simply be the love of Christ. I am excited to see all that Abba has in store, in regards to this incredible journey He has me on!
GOD IS MOVING!!
