The other day I recieved a message. It was the type of extravegant message that would be worthy to be placed in a bottle. This bottle would not be just any old bottle; rather, a bottle that would cause atmospheres to shift because of the weight of the message inside. A Kingdom bringing bottle, if you will.
Remember how I spoke of a girl's freedom from the bars last blog? From the time that Noy (changed name for protection) left a life of selling her body to one day ago, God has been shaking, bringing down the foundations of the Red Light District in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
A ministry contact in Thailnd sent me a message saying how more girls are deciding to leave the bar life by the end of this month. Wait, but that is not it…On top of that by May 1st a few bars will be closing down in the Red LIght District!!!
This is not normal. In fact, more bars usually open up in the Red Light District due to the traffic. I cannot tell you why any of this is happening. To us, it just does not make sense, but then again does not God work far beyond our understanding? In the end, is there even a need to ask the why? Instead why not simply REST in His goodness, faithfullness?!
However, this I can tell you that without a doubt the Spirit is moving on those streets. God is using you through your prayers to set captives free, to bind up the broken hearted. You are a part of what is happening in Thailand and I thank you for fighting the battle. We do not have to be on the front lines in Thailand to fight. There is just as much power in our prayers!
Please continue to pray for the ministry of Lighthouse In Action as well as Wongen Kafe who are loving on these women, men, and ladyboys. Pray for financial funds to come in to support these women who are leaving the bars, as well as to buy a building in the Red Light district to make God's presence even thicker. Also, In May Wongen Kafe wants to start a Bible class for these women.
There is HOPE. NOTHING is impossible! God is MOVING. HE is FAITHFUL. In the name of Jesus I declare that more bars will close, girls and boys will be freed and the Red Light district will be no more in Chiang Mai!
