You are everything a dad should be. You are a provider, a protector, and a pursuer. You are a family man. You go to great lengths to make sure your family has what they need and more. You barely sleep because you are taking care of us or watching out for us. You encourage me to do my best and you celebrate my accomplishments. You do what you do because you are driven by the Father’s love. I remember having so much homework and you would sit there and learn geometry with me so that I could succeed.
You have been a financial, emotional, and spiritual support to me. You have given me so many opportunities and experiences in life and I am so thankful. All the vacations, including running around the west half of the U.S. for 18 days, were a blast. I can’t believe all the places we’ve been as a family and you have made all of that possible. A lot of people know you as vacation Bruce.
You rock at being a computer analyst for State Farm and a real estate agent for Crown Realty. You want everyone around you to enjoy life and you do what you can to make that possible. I loved being able to bring families on vacation with us and friends on trips and tons of people to baseball games at Wrigley.
You are skilled with money and you use your gift at church as a treasurer. You talk a lot, let’s be real, but you have a lot to offer. You may also ask a lot of questions, but your intentions are good. You love unconditionally. You are a go-getter and you take on so many responsibilities. You depend on God and that is why things work out. Your trust is in Him.
You take good care of your wife too. You love on her and invest in her and slow down to spend time with her. She is your number one, besides God, because He has given her to you. Your marriage is an example to me and others.
You are generous and have a heart for those in need. You see a need and you do what you can to help. You are not bogged down by life; you give God praise and keep moving forward. You are not bound to earthly items and nothing of this world has a hold on you. You are all God’s and everything you have is His. You are organized and timely.
You seek the Lord in your bible and in prayer. I remember there being times I let you down and you looked at me with tears in your eyes and told me how much you loved me. I could never do anything to make you love me any more or any less and that is how the Father with a capital F loves too. You are made in His image and love like He does.
I love you and I can’t thank you enough for handing me back over to God and letting His plan work out in my life. Thanks for always taking such good care of me and loving me like you do. Love you pops!
