Hey all,

Sorry I haven’t written in awhile.  I was in China in June and couldn’t post blogs due to security concerns for our contact.  I still can’t give you a lot of details but China was pretty interesting.  My team smuggled tracts in and got to pass some out on the last day we were there.  We were in a very pretty area between mountains in a much cooler area than Hong Kong.  It was a very unique area to China in that it was an area with a lot of minorities.  A large chunk of the people are Tibetan and practice Buddhism.  There were also a large Muslim population.  So we got to interact with a lot of people from these backgrounds, including a Buddhist monk.  We were able to tell him more about Christianity and show love to him.  I even got to arm wrestle with him and eat his homemade noodles.

A lot of our ministry was about prayer.  We spent our mornings praying for the people, against spiritual strongholds, etc.  It was a very powerful experience and I really felt God speaking to me strongly on several occasions.  In the afternoons and evenings our ministry was to restaurant and coffee shop owners.  We spent time talking with them and showing the love of Jesus.

Last month I was in Mongolia.  I’ve shared more about that in my next post.  We just arrived in Thailand a few days ago and we are doing Manistry and Womanistry for the month!  The boys are on their own team and I am on a new team of all girls this month!  We are in a town called Mae Ai, which is 4 hours north of Chiangmai.  We are staying in the guest house of a school.  We are spending our time teaching English to the students.  We also get the chance to help out the teachers in whatever way we can and spend time with the students when they are not in class.  To be Thai is to be considered Buddhist so almost everyone is Buddhist.  We have some freedom to talk about Christianity here so please pray that we have many opportunities and that God takes away any language issues.

P.S. I only need $331 left to be fully funded.  The deadline was pushed back to the end of this month but after that I think my grace period will be over!  Please help me make it the last little bit!  Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
