Hello readers!

I want to give you an update on my life in CGA.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go to this link: CGA: Core of Grandiose Activation.  I have been in CGA for 9 weeks and have 6 weeks left.  I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by. Before I give you a full update I want to give you my update on support raising.  I have currently raised $2,260 out of $3,950. Woohoo! Thank you to those who have supported me! However, I still need $1,690 in order to complete CGA.  My deadline is this Wednesday, April 1st.  So I need it fast! If you feel led to help me complete my time here at CGA, please click the “Support Me!” button and it will show you what to do.

So, since being at CGA, I have learned so many things, I have a hard time finding time to process it all! In Missions Track we have had many guest speakers come in to talk to us.  We have learned about various topics including: healthy teams, conflict resolution, the Church in Acts, a lifestyle of martyrdom, discipleship, inner healing, missiology, and poverty.   These are great tools to bring with me onto the mission field and just for life in general.

In my courses, Dangerous Jesus & Activate Your Calling, I have been learning lots as well.  In Dangerous Jesus we are being challenged to actively pray for specific people and to listen to what God wants to say to that person as well as living a lifestyle where we are listening for God’s voice.  We’ve discussed topics such as ISIS, whether the church is safe or not, the difference between the fullness of the Holy Spirit vs. power in the Holy Spirit, and the difference between testing and temptation.  I’ve gained a lot of revelations through these discussions!  In Activate Your Calling we’ve been writing goals, looking into strengths and weaknesses, creating mind maps (mindmup.com) for our calling, and talking about how to prepare for a job in our area.

My apprenticeship is going really well.  I have been writing emails and checking if participants for short term missions are getting all their materials in to be fully prepared for their trip.  I work with Colby and we take care of participants going to Cuba, Nicaragua, Ireland, Romania, Italy, and Atlanta.  He does a ton more work than I do each day, but I’m glad to be able to take some of the weight off his shoulders.  He actually just left for Cuba on a trip a couple days ago! This is the first year that there are short term missions trips going to Cuba, so it’s pretty exciting!

I’ve also been taking an American Sign Language class that has been a lot of fun! I’m taking it as a part of activating my calling in learning how to communicate using signs and to learn more about Deaf culture.  I’ve learned a lot in one class and I’m hoping to take the second one as well.

It’s been so much fun to live at the “Lakehouse”.  We have a couple of kayaks, and I have just loved going out on the lake a few times to explore and spend time with the Holy Spirit.  We also have beautiful sunrises and sunsets, so I love it! We’ve had some good times in the Lakehouse with people from CGA coming over to participate in a board game night, a guac and salsa party, and s’more nights.  It’s been a lot of fun!

Overall, CGA has been awesome! God is showing me new things and I learn something new daily! I am excited to see what God reveals to me over the next 6 weeks!
