The first thing you should know about me is that I haven't blogged much in the past. I haven't written many journals either. However, I think it is a good thing that I am going to be doing. So bare with me as I discover the art of blogging.
I am super excited about being a part of the World Race! Since I was probably 10 I have had a passion for serving God and experiencing the lives of people in other cultures. This is a huge opportunity for me to do both of these things. I am excited to see how God will work in me to glorify His name and to see how He will transform me.
Now you get the gist of why I am going on this mission. To go along with the theme of 11 countries in 11 months I'll give you 11 other facts about me.
1. I am a Green Bay Packers fan, but I live near Chicago.
2. I enjoy playing soccer.
3. I am a chocoholic.
4. My favorite author is Ted Dekker and I really enjoy reading novels.
5. I am an avid board game player. My favorites are Blokus, Settlers of Catan, Boxers & Briefs, and Spades (I know that one is a card game). This is a favorite pastime of my families.
6. I am hearing impaired so I have this cool alarm with a flashing light to wake me up each morning.
7. I am a quadruplet.
8. My three siblings are all boys so I grew up as a tomboy and in many ways I still am one.
9. I love experiencing cultural traditions and trying new things.
10. I love seeing the things God has created in this world.
11. The two towns I have grown up in have strange names: Peculiar and Gurnee.
