Hey yall!

Got a few prayer request!

  • My grandmother is in the hospital struggling to recover from major lung surgery…I called her the other day when she was in the hospital and she seemed really scared…which makes me scared. Please just be praying for a good recovery and that she will be able to leave the hospital soon! Please be praying for my mother as well as she has devoted around the clock care for her. Pray that momma will get some rest and peace soon.
  • Be praying for Alisha as well.. She is still trying to come back to some lifestyle that is “normal” without her mom being here with her.

  • Be praying for me as well please.. I have been struggling so much with spiritual warfare lately. I feel so discouraged and defeated. I am trying so hard to keep my eyes on the Cross.. But sometimes, we all get distracted by the trouble, the busy, the to-do list, the worry, the uncertain, the silence, the waves of this life…

The disciples had a long tiring day and Jesus sent them out in the boat to go over to another town. It was a dark stormy night (couldn't resist that line <grin>) and the wind was tossing the waves around. In the middle of the night, they thought they were seeing a ghost when Jesus came to them walking on the sea! Jesus saw they were scared and told them not to be afraid. When they were the most afraid, he told them to cheer up, he was with them! God has to take the storm out of us before He can take us out of the storms of life.

Peter must have wondered if it really was Jesus or just their imagination. He asked Jesus to tell him to come out on the water with him if this was really happening. Jesus didn't say, "I'm sorry, Peter, but water-walking is for Messiahs only." No, he said one simple word: Come. God calls us to do impossible things by faith. It must have taken a lot of faith by Peter to take that first step out of the boat in the middle of the wind and waves. When he did, Peter walked on water! The Bible says,

“And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the noisily, rowdy turbulent wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” – Matthew 14:29,30

Peter was doing fine until he took his eyes off Jesus. As long as he had faith, he did impossible things to do without God's help. He kept his eyes on Jesus and walked on water. When he looked around at the world, he started believing that the storm was going to defeat him. He lost faith. He took his eyes off Jesus, and he began to sink. If we forget that Jesus is right there to help us, we can let the storms of life cause us to sink. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can do mighty things for God by faith.

Then Peter uttered what is probably the shortest prayer in the Bible: Lord, save me. Everyone needs to say that prayer. We ALL need Jesus to save us. He is our only hope. Jesus told Peter he should not have doubted. When they got back in the ship, everyone on board came and worshipped Jesus, saying, “Surely, you are the Son of God! No doubt!” Whenever we do something with God's help we need to remember to give Him the glory for it.

This is exactly me…word for word.. I am getting so discouraged about my deadline.. I have to have $3500 by October 2 in my account or I do not go.. I currently have $500. I feel so discouraged…defeated…and…even disappointed. But.. Then again.. I am focusing on the turbulent and restless waves around me. It only takes a split second to take our eyes off Christ.. Then the enemy.. Who is like 1 Peter 5:8, “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

It only takes one second to start sinking.

But, I am trying to surrender, call out like Peter did-SAVE ME LORD! Save me! God has this under control. I know that the worldrace is exactly where God wants me to be.. I know that for a fact.. I know God will use people like you to get me there. I believe that God will pull me out of these waves I have slipped in and He will save, restore and provide.. I also love [[and rest and rejoice]] in the rest of 1 Peter 5 passage that says,

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you…”

and verse 9, “Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

This is gonna be an awesome journey to stand firm on the water and waves.

Please be praying.. And take confidence that this can and will be REAL IN YOUR OWN LIFE.
You don’t have to be perfect.. You don’t have to have it all together..
You just have to step out on faith when God calls you out of the boat and onto the water.

Wont you come?

Wont you trust God?

Will you Send me?

I am asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry. Will step out on faith? Will you trust God that if you support this ministry, God will take care of your finances, your bills? Do you trust God to be faithful through your own faithfulness and obedience? Will you go when He calls out your name?
Will you step out onto the waves?

Will you?

Here I am Lord.. Send me.
