El Salvador Highlights (In no particular order)
 
-Felt like Florida and not a different country to me

-Loved using USA currency….exchange rate was a breeze. (Wink)
-Put my art degree into practice by helping cerebral palsy patients make handmade paper products 

-Took more taxis this month than I ever have in my entire life

-Was ecstatic that I could buy 6 bananas for 45 cents
-Held hands with preschoolers

-Slept in my tent…with a deflating air mattress.
-Had avocados fall from the sky
-Fall in love with pupsas and I will make them often when I get home

-Lost 4 pant sizes
-Went to burger king a lot (we called it the BK Lounge because they had free internet)
(Throw back days live on in El Salvador!) 

-Thoroughly appreciated have a washing machine
-Saw my first volcanic crater! 

-Moved into some one else’s house for a month…Adonis and Altagracia (who are newlyweds and expecting their first child in April!) and Cindy (who is amazingly beautiful and can sing like no other!)
-Really enjoyed getting up in the morning and running into the sunrise
-Missed my fiancé.
-Presented the Gospel to preschoolers and kindergarteners. 

-Our church, Compass International Ministries, was very charismatic and I want to find one similar to it in the States when I get home. (AND!! THEY HAD AIR CONDITIONING!! WHAAA WHAT!!!)

-Chili lime covered peanuts are yummy
-Was on a constant/bi polar roller coaster this month. One day, I am cussing, hating life and wanting nothing else but to go home….then the next day, I am desperate to be on the Race and yearning for the Lord. It was a wild ride and would not have survived if it was not for my team and the Lord perusing me. 
-Went to the mall several times…nothing has changed for me.. I still don’t like malls/shopping. 
-Made a new friend named Mirna that I absolutely love. She brings so much joy to my heart.

-Increased my Spanish vocabulary
-Star glazed at night
-Freaked out when I saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time! I LOVED IT!! It was amazing putting my toes in the (black velvet) sand! I will never forget singing the little mermaid with Emily! (Mom, don’t read this next part…) I can not confirm or deny that there were sharks in the water.

-El Salvador has more graffiti  in one section of town than all of Atlanta…I’m convinced. 
-Perplexed that Central America has some of the most elaborate Star Bucks I’ve ever seen! (good thing I don’t drink coffee! Geeze!)
-Celebrated Valentines Day with HOPAC cerebral palsy patients and piñatas!

-Walked to the top of the mountain that overlooks San Salvador

-Participated in the best block party for a new church!

-Working to define true beauty.
-Got to visit Suchitoto town!

-Two young boys came to know the Lord!
-Finally got pizza! Yummy!
-Fell in love with this beautiful smile!

-Remembered how much I love kids.

-Special needs patients received the love of Christ
-Was grateful for my supporters!
