God is faithful! As many of you know, I am raising money for the worldrace. Nevertheless, I still have other bills and daily financial obligations. I have been desperately struggling every year to get financial aid for school through grants or scholarships and every year, I am left disappointed. I make great grades and I love learning but yet, I can not get any financial reward for that. I was really concerned about paying for school this semester with the worldrace constantly on my mind. How could I possibly pay for my graduating semester of school?
(Philippians 4:19 “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”)
God wants to know that we trust Him. Last Friday, the 5th, I went to JSU financial aid office with just an ounce of hope. I asked them if anything had come through for me, they said no. They made a copy of my drivers license and sent me on my way, discouraged.

Monday, August 8: the last day to pay for school or else everything gets dropped. I woke up at 8AM to get ready for a meeting and I decided to check my email to confirm the time and location of the meeting. Wouldn’t you know it! I had gotten an email from Finaid that said I had be awarded a PELL GRANT! Whaaaaat?!?!? What in the world?! Could this be true? What is happening?!?!
I am not much of a “crier” or emotional-but, in that moment, I could not help it! Tears of joy and excitement were streaming down my face! Praise God! It was a true miracle! I have tried every single year to get aid and have been turned down every single time! In my time of need, God provided!! It was such an awesome moment!!
I got so much money that I am even able to sign up for a Spanish class that I have been wanting to take and now, have a great reason to take-FOR FREE! (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador are apart of my route!) PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD!
So now, I do not have to worry about loans or extra burdens on my family or anything! I am sooooo excited and so grateful.

If you are in a time of doubt or disbelief, just know that God really, really is able. He is able and willing to provide. Surely, the Lord cares for His children-believe it. I am proof.
I still have a long, long journey of fundraising ahead of me for my trip but, God is so eager to encourage me and to remind me that all things really, truly are possible with Him.
