Prayer. It’s something that is often so underestimated, but when done with a true and sincere heart, it can make an enormous impact.
Over the next several months, I’m going to be asking for a lot of support. This isn’t something I enjoy doing–it pretty much goes completely against my nature–but I’m going to do it anyways because I know there’s no way I can do all of this on my own. So, if you would like to support me, one of the biggest ways you can do this is through prayer. And since I’m asking for prayer, I thought I should start putting together a list of specific ways that you can be praying. This is a list that I will likely be adding to as we go, but for now, these are some of the big ways that you can be praying…
Pray for the nations: India. Nepal. Viet Nam. Cambodia. Botswana. South Africa. Swaziland. Argentina. Chile. Bolivia. Peru.
Pray for the hearts. Pray for the hearts of those we are yet to know, those around the world who wait unknowingly. Pray that the Lord would prepare them by opening their hearts and their minds to receive the good news.
Pray for the onlookers. Those following this journey from afar who don’t yet know the love of Jesus. Pray that through hearing the stories, seeds would be planted and hearts would be touched.
Pray for my squad. That the Lord would continue to align our hearts with His. That He would continue to stir in us the desire and the willingness to serve Him and to follow Him to the ends of the earth, no matter what. Pray that our faith would be unwavering, and that all our doubts and all our fears would be cast aside.
Pray for our families. Pray that through all the fears they may have, they would find rest in the everlasting promise that He has each of us in the palms of His hands–the same hands that hold the scars which stand as a reminder of the depth of His love for us, which goes beyond anything any of us can even fathom. Those are the hands that hold us.
Pray for this time leading up to the race. That through all the excitement and all the preparation, we would remember to live in the now. Pray that this would be a time of fruitfulness and growth, and that He would continue to ready us for what’s to come.
Pray for surrender.
Pray for wisdom and discernment.
Pray for the Kingdom.
