Hey Friends. We got some really good news this week!
Ton Ton came back to the Children’s Garden to live. My Squadmate Lisa wrote this blog that I want to share with you. Journal Entry May 28th, 2010: God, show TonTon love today, tonight that your love never fails. Even though he ran away, your love never fails. There may be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning. May CG and the boys welcome him back like the prodigal son.
If you remember back to May, I posted a blog regarding TonTon, my friend and ex-street boy, who ran away from the Children’s Garden, a home for street boys in the Philippines. ________________________________________________________________________ Yesterday, September 15th, I received a facebook message from Ate Sharon, a woman who works to mentor the boys at CG. This is a portion of what it said: “Dear Everyone: He’s back! Prayer is so powerful! And It’s time to give Him thanks! 🙂 Today, Tonton is back here at CG!“ She proceeded to tell about her first moments meeting TonTon on the streets of Antipolo almost 6 years. She described him as a young kid who slept on cardboard with solvent under his shirt. Today he still carries the effects of a life on the street: “haggard, empty, tired, pale, desperate, uncertain and a hopeless young man.” But she also sees a softened heart and a prodigal son who returned home! It’s time to celebrate!
Ate Sharon asks that we continue to pray for TonTon: “keep on praying for him and his family, for an easy transition as he lives here again. Pray that he will never run away again. Pray for a better life for he deserves it. Pray that He will grow in the Lord everyday. 🙂“ THANK YOU TO MY BLOG-READERS WHO HAVE BEEN LIFTING TONTON UP IN PRAYER!! OUR GOD IS ROCKIN-AWESOME!
