My team was invited to attend a Gypsy woman’s funeral.
I don’t know the woman who died.

After the service, which was held in the front lawn, we were asked to walk with them to the grave site for the burial.
We walked down the road following the horse drawn carriage that carried the coffin.
We climbed the hill to the grave site.
Someone prayed and then they started filling in the grave.
There is something really eerie about the sound of dirt hitting the top of the coffin.
It got me thinking about death and the fact that it is seemingly unavoidable.
Everyone I know will eventually die.
My thoughts then turned to the people in my life.
There are people in my life who haven’t yet experienced the LOVE, LIFE and FREEDOM of relationship with God through Jesus.
Without the LIFE that Jesus offers they are essentially the walking dead.
Am I doing enough to make sure the people in my life aren’t LIVING DEAD??
The ETERNAL LIFE that Jesus made possible for us can start NOW.
It doesn’t grant us immortality. One day each of us will lose our lives on this Earth.
The wonder of Jesus is that if we CHOOSE to LIVE our lives for His sake He has already CHOSEN us.
And the ABUNDANT LIFE Jesus offers us now continues for ETERNITY.
You can have this LIFE – ‘a real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed before’ John 10:10 MSG.
Just ASK Jesus.
Ask Him for a heart to LOVE Him and to know the LOVE He has for you.
Open your heart to Him and He WILL RESPOND.
My prayer is that EVERYONE in my life will one day KNOW JESUS.
Will that day be TODAY??
