Hello there! I’m so excited about the opportunity of this trip, and starting this blog just makes the whole experience more of a reality! I’ll tell a bit about myself…

My name is Amiee Wood, and I’ve just graduated with a Music Ministry degree from Liberty University. I’m 23 years old, and the middle child of 3 (older brother, younger sister). I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family that taught me about Jesus from a very young age. The place that I call home is a 400 acre farm in northern Pennsylvania. We have beef cows and grow corn, hay, and soybeans. My passions include worshipping God through music, singing, songwriting, and photography. Anything having to do with creativity (especially collaborative creativity) is very exciting to me. I also enjoy exercising and being active. I LOVE animals. I have cats and dogs that I like to squeeze daily. I’m hoping to add a bunny and a goat to the pet list eventually…they also will be squeezed on a regular basis. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love looking at stars, and eating chocolaty things! But, I really really hate ketchup…My favorite thing in the whole world might be a really great laugh that sucks your breath away. I really enjoy meeting knew people, and experiencing/learning new things! So, leave a comment and we’ll chat a bit. ๐Ÿ™‚
I know that I am called to the ministry in some way. I believe the avenue set before me is music. I love the effect that music has on the heart, and how it communicates to the soul. The most life changing truths can be written into a melody, catch your ear and then stay with you. Music is such an affective influence in our lives! As well as a beautiful way to communicate with our Creator. I feel a strong connection to the Bride of Christ, and my family in Him. I look forward to seeing where the Lord leads me within the calling He has placed on my life! ๐Ÿ™‚
The Lord has been teaching me some incredible lessons within the last year especially. I cannot wait to continue growing closer with Him through this trip. I know that this experience will be life changing, and eye opening. Any prayers would be extremely appreciated, both during the trip and now as I prepare.
