To just sit and soak in the presence of God is unlike anything else you could encounter in this life.
It is the state of total satisfaction.
Of complete wholeness and fulfillment of every need and desire you could possibly have on this Earth.
Our loving God is less than a breathe away but too often we become desensitized to His presence by the world around us.
Recently, I felt I had become less sensitive to His voice and the nudging of the Holy Spirit in my life. I blame most of that on my lack of time in the Word and setting aside time to just wait and listen for what He has for me that day. How else am I supposed to respond to His voice if I don’t recognize it when I hear it?
I know on the race many of these moments may come, but I will continue to stop, wait and listen until I hear the soft gentle tug of his voice to my heartstrings.
This song is one I have heard MANY(understatement) times, and it is a favorite that I will take to the grave. Today however, the truth in its lyrics echoed within me as if my spirit experienced God’s love and faithfulness for the first time.
