Hey everyone, I know it’s been awhile…
I am leaving for this missions trip in less than a month…oh my gosh.
God has shown me many different aspects of Himself in this time of preparation to go to Ecuador. The thing that is most on my heart however, is His timing, His Plan, and His Providence.
One of the hardest struggles for me is to remember that He is always in control. I think the all of the technicalities of our lives can distract us from what we should be focusing on.
Have you ever thought about how impatient we, a society, are now? If our smart phones take a few extra seconds to load we get annoyed? When things don’t happen exactly wen we want them to, then we immediately react badly in most cases. With fundraising and stuff, that’s something I had to write down for myself:
“Not my timing, but His timing”.
How about when plans don’t go our way? when you put so much effort into something, only to receive results that are different than what you originally wanted. That’s another thing:
“Not my plan, but His Plan”.
The hardest thing for me out of these three however, is the last one. Something that people in other countries commonly have to manifest daily. In preparing for this trip there are deadlines to be met for fundraising, deadlines I don’t always meet. There are deadlines for when we need to have certain things done by in almost every aspect of our life. If you are in school then you have that assignment that is due that you haven’t started. At work you have proposals that need to be by a certain day. There are bills that have to be paid for by a certain time. What if you don’t have what you need to complete the task, whatever it may be, when the time comes? This is the thing that I felt the need to remember the most:
“Not in my own strength, but His providence”.
He is the one that can supply everything we need. WE don’t have to worry if we trust that God is going to take care of all of our needs. He even says to “Ask and you shall receive…”
So, whenever you are stressed or having trouble with any situation, just remember that,
HE is in control
HE is going to provide
HE has is all covered
all you have to do…
Is TRUST
Much Love,
Amber
