Hey friends!!

W.O.W. It’s been exactly a week since my team landed in Ecuador…so much has happened I dont even know where to start.

l‘ve done so many things that are new for me and God showed me so many different parts of Him it has been crazy. We’ve had the pleasure of working with a ministry called Pan de Vida (translates to bread of life) for the majority of the week. However what I want to focus on in this entry is what we did last weekend…

My tribe and I took a trip to Baños for our first “Adventure Weekend”. It was. Absolutely Incredible. There was a 5.5 hour bus ride through the mountains of Ecuador, which yes was long. The view however, didn’t disappoint. there were fields and mountains on all sides for the entirely of the trip. At one point, the bus we were in was driving along the edge of a mountain and I could look down and see the valleys below us with this hugeee mountain in the distance. It reminded me of the part in the Bible where God was saying that we can move mountains. Do you ever realize how much God values us? Like He created these huge mountain ranges and deep seas, yet we are his favorite part of creation. Us. humans. People. We are more valued than anything you can find on earth. That just astounds me.

We went to a mountaintop in Baños where you can “swing off the edge of the world”. there were fields of flowers, pathways, great places for pictures and admiring the beauty of the earth…but this swing that was there. It was the scariest thing for me. I am terrified of heights yet somehow, found myself sitting on this swing, getting buckled in, and getting pushed off the “edge of the world”. One of the craziest most amazing experiences of my life! (Though it was still. Terrifying)

God calls us to go out and do new things, uncomfortable things, and scary things. whether it be flying to South America, or just getting on a swing, He promises to be there every step of the way. Throughout this week I’ve really begun to realize how much we need to depend on Him in every situation, every challenge, and every triumph.

There is a sign on the wall of our house that says “Challenge by Choice”. That is something we need to do. Step out of our comfort zones, challenge ourselves, and see how God can use us for His glory.

This was just one thing we did on this trip, there is way too much to fit in one post.

thanks so much for taking the time to read this! I’ll  check in soon!!

Much Love,

          Amber
