This is a common question that I receive and answer quite often, so I decided to include it in my blog. If you have a moment…Take a journey with me to the time and place, when I accepted my call in this new season of life…
I sat in a house in Ethiopia surrounded by Christian fellowship in the midst of worship. The softness of the song’s melody surrounded me as we all lifted our voices in admiration for the Most High. In the midst of worship, I suddenly found myself silent as I entered into true intimacy with God. With my arms out stretched, I began to pray falling into deeper surrender. I found myself, asking God, ‘What’s next? Where do you want me to go?’ I proclaimed, ‘Where you lead, I will follow. Where you command, I will go. You asked, ‘Who shall I send?’ Here I am God, Send me’, and with that proclamation I felt a shift. As the shift occurred God gave me a vision. First I saw the entire world map, where I learned that I will go unto the ends of the earth to spread His love. Then, continents and countries began to disappear. As I watched the composition of the map begin to change, I became more and more amazed. North America was the first continent to slowly dissipate from the map’s surface, then South America, then Australia and Antarctica. As I’m left with Asia, Africa and Europe, countries then began to vanish from the north and south simultaneously until all that remained was part of Europe, the Middle East and the top of Africa. I stared at the newly rendered map, as the topography becomes etched in my mind. I asked, ‘Lord, what is this? What does this mean?’ and without response, the vision that I had found myself engrossed in went away and I was back again, with my eye’s wide open in the midst of worship. It would be almost a year later that I would discover that God was showing me and calling me to serve in the 1040 window.
The 1040 window refers to the multiple regions located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator in the western hemisphere. This window includes of millions of people who have never heard the name of Jesus. Next year, we will have the opportunity to serve individuals in this window. I have been selected to participate in an 11-month Exhibition Mission to the 1040 window beginning in August of 2018. During this time, I will serve in Spain, Morocco, Jordan, Israel, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and China. It is based on accepting this call to go, that I humbly request your partnership in this journey. When you partner with me, we take the journey, serve and make the impact together. With God’s blessing and your support and partnership, both in spirit and in finance, I am believing that the total cost of $18,700 will be paid in full.
