1. Cliff jumping hurts.  It gave me a MAJOR wedgie.  But it was so worth it!

  2. I can’t stand on a paddle board… yet.  I fell off several times.

  3. The largest zipline in Central America is in Panajachel.  And I did it. It felt like the largest in the world to me.  We had to hike a mountain to get to the top.

  4. I get sore, two days after hiking or working out.  That mountain I hiked? Yeah… owie. It was gorgeous though.  It reminded me I have muscles! I actually have them, they’re actually  really real!

  5. If you don’t have any forks or chopsticks, you can eat ramen with knives.

  6. If you’re an introvert, always take the bottom bunk.  You can set up a cave with blankets whenever you need to recharge.

  7. I have a new found love for Vans.  Like the shoes, not the vehicle. I got a pair of galaxy shoes.  They make me so happy.

  8. There is a store in Chimaltenango called the Megapaca.  It is a version of Goodwill and they sell clothes, shoes, etc. on discount.  Highly recommend. That’s where I found my Vans!

  9. I’ve come to think of the base as home.  At the end of debrief I found myself thinking, ‘I’m looking forward to going home.’  Not my home in the states, but the base here in Guatemala.

  10.  Anabelle hates foot crumbs.

  11. Anabelle loves La La Land.  In fact, she’s obsessed. She’s watched it 4 times this week.

  12. There is a taco shop called Las Tortes that sells the best quesadillas and tacos.  We are obsessed.

  13. My team are theatre and musical geeks.  I literally saw two acting and singing Bring It On, another two singing and acting La La Land, and another singing High School musical.  All at the same time.

  14. They redid the Cimal Mall since the last time we went, which was two weeks ago.  It’s now really nice and they are putting in a Panda Express. I’ve never had it before, so it’ll be interesting.

  15. Our ministry host made us Chow Mein, and it was so good.  It was Guatemalan Chow Mein, and they put it on tortillas and we ate them as tacos.  Game changer, it was so good.
