“Hello all you beautiful people! I am alive. If you haven’t heard from me in the past month, it’s because I’ve been off the grid. Living in a tiny village called Harbu Chulule in Ethiopia at the moment. We live on an orphanage, and we do our ministry there. The kids are adorable and the staff is amazing! I’ll be honest, it was a little strange not having wifi at all for a whole month. But it was challenging and rewarding. Ethiopia has made me a tea drinker, they have amazing tea, not to mention coffee. We eat popcorn like no tomorrow, freshly popped over the stove. I would recommend for you guys back home to and some sugar to your popcorn! It’s really good, also they drizzle Hershey’s chocolate syrup over it too.
My team have started working in the gardening project, how cool is it that we get to plant seeds literally and figuratively! We get to see the plants we tend sprout and grow alongside the children we minister to.
Ethiopia is on a different calendar system, so I’m now living in 2012! September is the first month, and they celebrate Christmas on the 7th of January. My Christmas in Ethiopia was truly special, me and my team had a Christmas fort, Adamson family tradition, and we all had stockings, they got me a yoda stocking! I love them so much!
That’s all for now, just wanted to let you know that I’m alive and thriving in Ethiopia!
