Things can change in a minute! I left Wisconsin several weeks ago to head to Georgia before flying to Guatemala. It was a Wednesday morning, and I was expecting us to finish packing our things and clean our rooms before getting onto a bus to Chicago where we would get a plane to Atlanta. We put our extra food on a table in the main building for other residents to take. We swept our rooms. We wiped down counters. And we hefted all of our belongings to the main building. The main room contained a lot of tables, ping-pong, pool (the game), vending machines, a tv, and more. The bus was running late, so we relaxed and some people played games while we waited. One team (I’ll call them Team A for privacy) was called out of the room which was interesting to me. I was curious what they were talking about, but it wasn’t something I needed to know at the time. Right before getting on the bus, we were told that someone on that team had tested positive for COVID. They wouldn’t be going with us to Chicago and Georgia.
They had to stay and quarantine for a time. People were confused and worried. We didn’t really have a lot of information, but we certainly had plenty of questions. The other 2 teams (including mine) were told to get on the bus to head out. We were leaving about 1/3 of our squad in Wisconsin. In Georgia, we had parent launch and some different lessons and worship sessions. Team A was able to join us for some of the lessons and worship sessions through Google Meets, but they weren’t able to be physically present. We went to Guatemala without them too.

This shows how we should embrace every moment!!

Team A is now with us in Guatemala. They were able to join us 4 days after we go here.

My last deadline for funding is February 28th, and I still have about $4,155 to go. Will you please pray that God will provide that amount as well as about if God would like you to partner with me by donating? Thank you so much for all of your support!
