So my Guatemala video FINALLY loaded to youtube.
Tada!
Also, my thoughts on the hosts of Guatemala
Logan: This was one of my favorite parts of Guatemala. Each day I got to be greeted in the morning by our main contact, Logan, and give him a hard time about the fact that he wore something from basically EVERY college in the United States EXCEPT OSU.
I also got to do bank runs with him which was a really cool time to just learn his story and his heart behind Grace English School! Eventually our friendship turned into a water war, when he saw my triad walking to ministry and drenched me with a water bottle
as he continued to drive past us. I got him back the last day (:
Sandra, Delmy, Isabelle-The people who cooked for us became some of my favorite people in Guatemala/ever. We got to have really good conversations and it became fun to try to communicate through my broken Spanish and their broken English. It was kind of
a game and led to plenty of laughs over the month! They invited us into their home and I will really miss their smiling faces.
Rudy and family- The people whose house we were staying in were super friendly too. I got to have a couple of really long conversations with the dad, Rudy and we got to see him out working at the Base Camp that’s being built for Adventures in Missions
Guatemala. Overall choosing to have intentional time with our local hosts was super fruitful and I’m excited to stay in contact with them!
Prepare for all things Honduras this week (:
Dad, I’m fine!
