So many of the kids who received food from His Hands for Honduras weren’t the playful, joyful kids that I’m used to.

There was one specific family, three boys, who came in every day, sat at the same table and watched. They didn’t talk much even after a lot of prying and they just kind of observed. I learned their names the first day and was persistent about at least trying each day. I would joke or do goofy things or try to make them smile, nada.

The second to last day of ministry I pulled out my phone to take some pictures. These three boys were playing with a truck on their table.

I started to take slo-motion videos of their truck rolling across the table. At first they didn’t understand what I was doing but once I showed them the video… those smiles, ah!

All it took was some persistence and a slow-mo video
