Intercession I have talked about prayer and intercession a lot. The Lord has heavily laid intercession on my heart over the last few months. The phrases prayer warrior and warrior princess have been prominent and reoccurring since training camp way back in July of 2018.Now, more then ever, I realize how important prayers and intercession are. These prayers that ill be sharing with you are two of my biggest prayers since being on the race.
The first prayer is my hearts prayer:
I love you Abba, in you and your sons name I rest. Help me to move forward with my heart focused on you, and things above, not on things here on earth. For I have died, and my life is hidden with you. I want to love you. I want to love you with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I want your love to saturate me and my love to be demonstrated in a yearning to serve you and others and through my faithful obedience to you and your Word. May my only desire be to please you as my Lord and my beloved. May I present myself before you as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to you.
Help me, by your grace and mercy, to know you and love you so deeply and dearly that you mean much more to me than all the things of this world. I want to worship you and you alone. I don’t want to be formed by anything and anything else other then you. I want to be one with you-my heart grafted to yours. Grow your love and truth deep within mw. Lead me in the way everlasting. Open my ears, eyes, and mind to you wisdom, truth, and goodness.
This next prayer is really just over my squad, family and friends:
Jesus, Wow you are so good, faithful, and trustworthy. Thank you for being a perfect father, loyal friend, jealous lover, and always being with us. Thank you for never leaving us or forsaking us. Thank you for your word. Thank you for always speaking truth and guiding us with your words. Thank you for salvation and eternal life with you that we don’t deserve. Thank you for being sovereign and just. Thank you for being gracious and merciful, pouring out your love and peace on us. Strengthen us with your supernatural strength to love and serve others around us. Continue to dwell in our hearts, change our thoughts, and pour out your truth and life in our words and actions. Root us deeply in your word. Continue to remind us how much you love us and that we will always be your daughters and sons. Fill us to overflowing that we may bless others. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to love. Let us look through your eyes at the world around us. Open our eyes to the broken, needy, hurting, lost, hungry, and abandoned. Give us discernment. Break our hearts for what breaks yours. Help us to glorify you in all we say and do. May we all strive to be more and more like Jesus every day. Help us to walk out what it looks like to be a faithful follower of the Lord. Help us grow closer in intimacy with you and each other as we continue to follow your lead. Unify us as a church as one with you. Holy Spirit I lift up each of my brothers and sisters around the globe . May all these things be added to them as they chase after you. Light a fire in their souls. Let them burn with passion for you, your truth, and your kingdom. Carry them to the dark places that they may kindle fires where there are none. Lift them up and place them high upon your rock that they may shine your light to the nations. Let them walk in your fruits of the spirit and allow your joy to be their strength. Help them to be the salt of the earth and always boiling hot for you Lord. Put people in their paths that need to encounter you. Give them the boldness they need in order to share your eternal life with the world and fulfilling Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15.
So yeah, these are some of my prayers of late. Its been really cool to be woken up in the middle of the night knowing I have to pray for someone. Or even through the day having someone on my heart and not being able to stop thinking about them. I love talking to Jesus about everything on my heart and others that he puts on my mind.
