I’ve talked about how amazing team is, so I figured I’d kind of introduce them to you all. You will probably hear a lot more about them in the coming months. I love them all so much, so here it goes.
First we have, Elena. Humble, Wise, and Gentle. Our team treasurer. Elena was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. Her birthday is August 7th, 2000. Her favorite color is the color of the ocean. Her favorite food is Indian food. Her favorite dessert is Ice Cream, but she also really likes fruit. Her favorite animal just happens to be her dog Jed. Her favorite movie, though she isn’t very keen on movies, is We Bought A Zoo. Her favorite song right now is Mess Is Mine. Her love language is Quality Time, and her favorite article of clothing is her ripped jeans. Her favorite memory from growing up is preforming skits with neighborhood friends for the parents in her garage and using the garage door as the curtain. A fun fact about her is she used to play the harp. Lastly, her laugh is just the best.
Next there is Gracie. Intelligent, Thirsty for the Word, and Kind. Gracie was born on May 24, 2000 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Her favorite color happens to be yellow. Her favorite food is biscuits and gravy. Her favorite dessert is red velvet ice cream. Her favorite animal also happens to be her dog, Mojoe. Her favorite movie, well she loves all movies but if she had to pick right now it would be Pride and Prejudice. Her favorite song right now is High Hopes by Panic at the Disco. Her current love language is Quality Time. Her favorite article of clothing is cardigans. Her favorite childhood memory is hearing stories from her Grandpa. Gracie’s fun fact is she can touch her nose with her tongue. Also, her smile is beautiful.
Jaynna. Outgoing, Adventurous, and Friendly. Born in Shawnee Oklahoma on October 1st of 1999. Jaynna’s favorite color is orange. Her favorite food is either guacamole or fruit. Her favorite dessert is Pecan Pie. Drum roll please, we got another dog lover! Jaynna’s favorite animal is her dog, Wednesday. Her favorite movie is Bench Warmers. Currently, her favorite song is Build My Life. Her love language is Quality Time. Her favorite article of clothing is her Hornets Shirt. Her favorite memory growing up is playing at her grandmas house with her cousins. One fun fact about her that not many people know is she loves to read. I love Jaynna’s tenacity and her energy.
Kae. Talented, Generous, and Cautious. Kae was born in the small town of Northville, New York on September 29th 1999. Her favorite color is turquoise. Her favorite food is Pizza. Her favorite dessert is Cheese Cake. Kae’s favorite animal happens to be my favorite as well, Turtles! Her favorite movie(s) the Harry Potter series. Her favorite song, A Million Dreams. Her love language is Acts of Service. Her favorite article of clothing, though she doesn’t really have a preference, is dresses. Growing up her favorite memory is playing and swimming in the creek. One random and fun fact about Kae is she has eaten a chipmunk. I could listen to Kae sing all the time, she has a beautiful voice.
Kirsten. Silly, Fun, and Random. Born in Medford Oregon on June 3rd of 2000. Her favorite color is blue. Her favorite food is chocolate. Her favorite dessert is of course brownies. Kirsten’s favorite animal is a butterfly. Her favorite movie is the Emperors New Groove. Her favorite song right now is Reckless Love. Her love language is Physical Touch. Her favorite article of clothing is skirts. Her favorite childhood memory is going to Disneyland with her family in an R.V.. A fun fact about Kirsten, she is a black belt in taekwondo. I appreciate Kirsten’s puns and random jokes that come out of no where.
Margee. Energetic, Enthusiastic, and Brave. On August 5, 1999 in Thousand Oaks, California, Marguerite came into the world. Her favorite color right now is baby blue. Her favorite food is thai food or mangoes. Her favorite dessert is Fried Ice Cream. Her favorite animal is the dog she nannys, Maggie. Her favorite movie is Shaw Shank Redemption. Her favorite song right now is All Hail King Jesus. Her love language is words of affirmation and quality time. Her favorite article of clothing is her yoga pants. Her favorite childhood memory is the smell of sunscreen in the car on the way to the beach with her family. Her fun fact is that when she was four she used to steal all her neighbors mail and hide it in her parents garage. Also, family reunions at her grandparents house with all 20 grandchildren. I love Margee’s go getter spirit and her heart for kids.
Rachel. Tender hearted, Observant, and Loving. Rachel is our amazing team leader during our time in Cambodia. She was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. She came into the world on June 17th, 1999. Her favorite color is green. Her favorite food is Mac-n-cheese. Her favorite dessert is Chocolate Lava Cake. Her favorite animal is a Pig. Her favorite movie is Leap Year. Her favorite song right now is Be Enthroned. Her love language is Words of Affirmation and Quality Time. Her favorite article of clothing is athletic shorts. Her favorite childhood memory is riding her tri cycle. One random fun fact about her is that she had a hedgehog named peaches. I appreciate Rachel’s love for others and her gentleness.
