June 4th- 8th I went to a Pre-teen camp in Brownwood, Texas. I was on the Rec Staff there.
The whole week I thought about different things I could write about, I could write about how so many kids came to archery and what I learned through that, or write about the staff and what I learned through them, what the pastor preached or his chalk drawings, the relationships I made with different students, or how I would do camp different if I had the chance.
I took several pics at camp but the more that I looked at the pictures the more I was drawn to a picture that was just going to be in the blog not about the blog.
You are entering the mission field that kept going through my mind (yes I leave in 107 days but who’s counting) but not because I’m leaving soon.
I sat in my car for a second and thought Am I ready to go ?
We as Christians are called to go and make disciples and that doesn’t mean we have to leave the country, even though I do believe some are called to go to the ends of the world.
“You Are Entering the Mission Field” as soon as you decide to except Jesus Christ As your Savior. We as Christians should be reminded daily that as soon as we open our eyes for day that we could come in contact with someone who doesn’t know Jesus.
Every day your entering the mission field, everyday your getting up and you get to choose if you will let others see your light shine. Will others see Jesus in you? How can you show Jesus ?
You could choose not to enter the mission field, you could choose not share God’s love but everyone is called to share and to enter and to pass that sign and to go.
Even though you don’t actually have to pass a sign everyday to tell you, you are entering the mission. Will you enter ? Will you go and spread the Good News?
I have chosen to enter a mission field. I’m scared, I’m excited and I’m ready to embrace what comes with it. I know that God is calling me to go and help plant seeds and make disciples where some may never go to .
Yes I’m entering a mission field in October, but what will I do with my mission field in front of me now. I think we all should have that reminder no matter how far were going go to have to get to our mission field. What will you do with the one you enter every day in you daily routine?
Will you pray for a team who has decide to go to the ends of the world? Just like me, my team has accepted the challenge to enter a new mission field. We have listened and know this is where we should go, so we are passing the sign and going, so I ask that you pray. Pray as we prepare for this mission field of the great unknown. I ask that you pray as we prepare to enter where it maybe scary to enter, where God’s light needs to be shined.
Will you help someone go? I also ask that you pray about helping me financially. I still have a long way to go but I also would like to thank everyone who has donated and has helped me to get where I am now. I am blown away with the amount of support I have received and continue to see.
For now I have to go I have to get ready to pass the sign. I am entering, today and tomorrow and as long as I can.
Will you pass the sign?
