Change is a good thing.

For those of you that don’t know I recently moved in with my Dad to a small town in Curtis, Michigan. Curtis is a huge change from what I have been used to the past four years! Not to say that Wild Rose is a huge town, but I could get to a Walmart in about 30 minutes, the same is not true of Curtis. So now that I am now again a Yooper (someone that lives in the U.P. of Michigan) I suppose I could tell you a little more about that.

I would like to show you a day in the life of a Yooper.

I woke up hoping to go for a run only to find new fluffy white stuff all over the ground and coming from the clouds! So it looked like my new workout plan was bringing in firewood to keep the house warm. After that was all done I headed into the big town of Newberry (population 1,489)  to do a little job hunting. I stopped in at a few restaurants filled out applications, but at one restaurant I started talking to the waitress and figured out that my mom used to babysit for her! Then I headed back to my new home in the blustery weather. Now I am sitting in the living room watching a movie in a hammock. That’s right a hammock in the middle of the living room. My dad is quite innovative so he decided to string up a hammock to relax in.

Well this blog isn’t really to tell you about the change of moving but a bigger change! I have decided to switch my route this fall. I will be leaving in September instead of October! I am now going to be going to Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Nepal, and the Philippines. I also have to raise $1,000 more for this route than I did before. Also my financial deadlines are going to be a month earlier than I had anticipated before, meaning I need to raise

$5,000 by June

$10,000 by August

the rest by December

I am so peaceful about the decision to switch routes! This decision was scary-leaving behind a squad I had grown close with-having to raise $1,000 more a month earlier than I had to. It’s a big change and I am ready for this new adventure!

I want to thank everyone that has supported me this far! Through prayer, financially, and encouragement! Each one of these things means the world to me and I couldn’t be happier to have your support!

If you would like to support me you can click the “Support me” tab up above! I would love if you subscribed to my blog and stayed up to date with this crazy adventure I’m going on!

With Love,
