This is a letter that I wrote to TJ (see last blog post) and my teammates thought that it was something I should share in my blog.

Dear Sweet TJ,

I am so glad that you came to Holiday Club and I was able to meet you! I was so excited when you came each day and I enjoyed getting to know you and see your smiling face.

You are going to make a difference in this world TJ. You are already a leader, someone that the other boys look up to, someone to follow. I pray that you choose to be a good example to others. Sometimes doing the right thing means you have to do it alone because not everyone will follow when you do, but do the right thing anyways. Don’t follow others when you know what they’re doing is wrong. Set an example for them. Sometimes you will be mad at someone or hurt by what they say, but remember, you don’t always have to fight to make them understand or get back at them. Sometimes the best thing to do is walk away and be there bigger and better person. It shows and takes more strength to walk away than it does to fight. I hope that you choose to be a good example in friends lives because it really will make a difference. You are going to do some great things in your life TJ! I know it! God has an amazing plan for you because he loves you so much! He is already using you to make a difference, I know that because he used you i my life during Holiday Club. You will always be in my heart sweet boy, and I will pray for you for the rest of my life, that’s a promise. I will never forget you! You are so special and so loved and I hope you remember that.

Lord, I pray for this sweet, precious boy TJ. I pray that he will grow strong, not only physically but mentally and spiritually. I praythat you will work in his life and that he will see and know how truly loved he is. I pray that you will use him to love and encourage those around him, that he will be a good example and a good influence to his friends, his classmates and his family. I pray for his safety and his health, and that he will hold onto you when life is hard or painful; that he will know that you are with him and that you love him and that he can trust you no matter what. I pray peace over him and that he would feel your loving arms holding onto him. I pray that he would know you more fully and have a strong relationship with you. I pray that you continuously work in his life and use him to bring others to you. He is such a sweet boy and I know that you love him more than I ever could and that you want whats best for him. I know that life won’t always be easy for him but I pray that you give him strength to get through any fear, any pain, any struggle. I pray that he will understand that strength isn’t always physical but that it’s strength of his mind and his heart. I pray that he will have courage to do the right thing and make good decisions. I pray that you will guide him and that he will know your voice and will follow you. Lord, thank you for bringing this boy into my life, thank you for allowing me to know and love him. And thank you for using him to touch my heart and show me another piece of who I am and what I want to do with my life. He is such a blessing to me and to so many others, some who he hasn’t even met yet. Thank you for creating him and for loving him. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

I love you sweet TJ, I am praying for you and I know that you will do amazing things in your life.

Love, Amber
