As we crossed the boarder to Haiti you could feel a change. This place is very different from the Dominican Republic. There is much more poverty. This land is broken. These people need change.

As we walk around each day we can see that these people are just trying to survive. Each day they work just to get enough to feed their family. Just to have enough to make it another day. This fact becomes more real everytime we walk around this city.

As I look around this city everyday I see children with ripped clothes. Trash everywhere it lines the streets. Children picking through the trash. People looking for help in ways I can't give it.

I've been asked more than once. Please pay for my childrens education. Or can you help provide for my family. I can't help these peoplein the way they think I can. Or in the way they want me to. There is hope for these people, for this place. It can change. In Acts 3:6 it says " Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee…" I have Jesus I can give them Jesus. Jesus is the answer. He is hope for the hopeless. He is a shelter. He is rest for the weary. He is our Savior. He can heal. He can save. He can restore. It's not just that He can, He will.

People say Haiti is cursed. Even people from Haiti will say that. We heard a story of the start of this country from our translator and why they say this land is cursed. When Haiti got it's freedom they did a ceremony, drank blood, and gave this land to demons. A lot of people here practice vodo. Even so, God can restore this land. God will restore this land. 2 Chronicles 7:14, " If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land."

Praise God this was never the devils land in the first place. So let's take Haiti back for God. Lets cry out to Him. He is the answer. This is too big for us but thank God there is nothing too hard for God.

Please just be praying for us. That we would be a light in darkness. That God would use us to show these people who He is. I can't wait to see what God does in Haiti. Thanks everyone for all your support and prayers.
