This month we are working with a local pastor and his wife. We go everyday to the church and just spend time with the street children. Some days we get to cook for them, other days we just love on them. In the evenings, we have prayer at the church for the village to come to know Jesus. Also, people bring anyone who is sick, demon possessed, or just needs prayer.
It as only been a week but I have loved every minute of it. My favorite times have been spent in the kitchen. We have three too four lady's from the church who are here everyday just to cook for us. Three of them only speak Swahili. I just go and sit with them. I help cut vegetables, or wash dishes. When they will let me help. Mostly, I just spend time with them. They are so full of joy and I love them so much. I try and say Swahili words and they laugh at me and try and say some English. I've learned it doesn't matter if you can speak the same language cause you can love someone just by spending time with them. If that was all my ministry was this month it would be worth it.
Jesus calls us to love. He don't just call us to love the lovable but the unlovable to. He wants to use us to touch people. We don't always know what that is going to look like. Sometimes it may be just sitting with someone for hours. It might be holding a child and just loving on them even if they are covered in dirt and pee. He wants us to stop for each person to love each one of them with His love. He calls us all to love and their are so many different ways to do that.
Anyways, I am so thankful for who He is and that He would use me. God is so awesome! He amazes me over and over again. Thanks everyone for all your prayers.
